The wicked witch is dead, or at least Chane is, and we are hosting a Usurp the Shadow throne pre-release event to celebrate the return of the Shadow talent!

Pre-Release events are an occasion for players to come together at selected local game stores to celebrate the upcoming release of a new product in a fun and friendly way.

Pre-Release events are played using the Sealed Deck format, where each player uses their Pre-Release Kit to make a 30-card deck.

Date: Saturday, September 19, 2026 at 1:00 PM

Location: Gamer's Lair

Entry Requirements: Entry is 45$ (after tax) and includes 1 Pre-Release Kit (containing 8 Usurp the Shadow Throne Booster Packs and a promo pack containing 10 cards)

Event Structure: Players will be given 30 minutes to construct their decks, and will have 30 minutes + 5 minutes for start of game set-up to play their round.

4-8 Players: 3 Rounds of Swiss
9-16 Players: 4 Rounds of Swiss
17+ Players: 5 Rounds of Swiss

Prizes: The winner of the event will receive a GEM pack, but everybody will be eligible to receive some randomly raffled off promos.
